In the webshop of the city of Hoogstraten you will find the Hoogstraten gift voucher and other products offered by Visit Hoogstraten. You buy from the city of Hoogstraten. The following terms and conditions apply.
Terms and Conditions
These terms and conditions apply to the gift voucher issued by Hoogstraten. By using the gift voucher, you accept the following product terms and conditions and commit yourself to comply with them.
- These conditions apply to all gift vouchers issued by the city of Hoogstraten, in whatever physical or digital form.
- The digital gift voucher has a value of € 5, € 10, € 20 or € 50 and is provided with a unique 16-digit code and QR code. Only original gift vouchers can be redeemed. Damaged or otherwise unusable beans cannot be spent or exchanged. In case of loss, theft or unauthorized use by third parties of this unique code, no compensation or replacement will be made. In these cases, please contact us to look at the possibilities.
- The gift voucher can be used in multiple installments and cannot be exchanged for cash. The residual value cannot be exchanged for money under any circumstances.
- Each gift voucher is valid for 2 years from the date of issue. After the expiration date, the gift card can no longer be used. The period of validity can be checked via the balance checker on www.visithoogstraten.be. After these two years, any claim to the balance on the gift card will lapse.
- The balance and issue date of the gift voucher can be found via the balance checker on www.visithoogstraten.be. The date indicated here is leading for the validity.
- In the event of (attempted) fraud and/or misuse of the gift voucher, including attempting to redeem the gift voucher by falsification, this will immediately be reported to the judicial authorities and the city of Hoogstraten is fully entitled to recover its full damage.
- Cash payment of (multiple) gift vouchers is not possible.
- Stad Hoogstraten is geen partij bij de koopovereenkomst tussen gebruiker van de cadeaubon en betreffende deelnemende ondernemer. Stad Hoogstraten is niet verantwoordelijk voor de aankoop van producten die door een gebruiker van de cadeaubon bij een desbetreffende deelnemende ondernemer zijn gekocht. Hiervoor wordt verwezen naar de voorwaarden van de desbetreffende deelnemende ondernemer.
- The City of Hoogstraten is not a party to the purchase agreement between the user of the gift voucher and the relevant participating entrepreneur. The City of Hoogstraten is not responsible for the purchase of products purchased by a gift voucher user from a participating entrepreneur. For this, reference is made to the conditions of the relevant participating entrepreneur.
- The affiliated entrepreneurs with whom the gift voucher can be redeemed can be changed at any time. No rights can be derived from the offer that is visible on the website at any time or is printed in any way.
- In the event of force majeure, the city of Hoogstraten can suspend the redemption of the gift voucher indefinitely.

We do our utmost to inform you correctly, but it is possible that the information in our webshop is accidentally incorrect. As soon as we notice that, we will improve the information. If delivery times are mentioned, this is an indication, it is possible that your order will arrive later or earlier.

Order and your data
- As soon as you order something in our webshop and complete the online ordering procedure, you have an agreement with us to which these general terms and conditions apply.
- We process the data you provide to us in the online ordering procedure in accordance with European privacy legislation and our privacy statement.
Price
The applicable prices are stated on the website. With the exception of the VAT-exempt gift vouchers, the prices of products include VAT and may change from time to time.
Shipment costs
The shipping costs are not included in the price of the products and are stated and charged separately.
Payment
- When you buy something via our webshop, you pay via iDeal, Bancontact or another option offered.

Damaged?
- Is the delivered product damaged? Let us know. We can then repair or replace the product. If that is not possible, the city of Hoogstraten can refund the amount you paid.
- We are not liable for damages or consequential damages.
- Our liability is limited to the amount of your order.
Right of withdrawal
- You can cancel your purchase within 14 days. You can return the product during this period without reason and get your money back. The product must be undamaged and unused. You can also present a purchased and unused (online) gift voucher to the Visit Hoogstraten counter (Vrijheid 149 – 2320 Hoogstraten) within 14 days. During the cooling-off period, you handle the product and the packaging with care. The cooling-off period starts on the day after you have received the product.
- If you want to make use of this right of withdrawal, you can send an e-mail to [email protected] and indicate that you want to make use of the right of withdrawal and which products it concerns.
- As soon as possible, but within 14 days of the notification, you return the products or hand them over physically. Do not forget to enclose the proof of payment. In the case of an online purchase, the amount will be deposited into the bank account you used for the purchase after receipt. In the event that the gift voucher has been used with one of the participants, the possibility to cancel the purchase will lapse. you want to make use of the right of withdrawal and which products it concerns.
Complaints procedure
- As a consumer you can count on the application of Belgian law. We are sorry if you are not satisfied. Do you have complaints? Please contact us and we will try to find a solution together.
- The city of Hoogstraten has 4 weeks to resolve the complaint in mutual consultation.
